CALCUTTA: The Board of Control for Cricket in India president, Biswanath Dutta will head a “four to five members” committee which will decide what action will be taken against the Indian cricketer who played in the United States and Canada after their West Indies tour violating the Board directives.

He said he would place the whole matter before the committee which would decide what action the Board would take against the players,

Mr Dutta said he bad not yet heard anything from these cricketers. Asked whether the players would be allowed to submit any report Mr. Dutta said, “The players would certainly be given a chance to place their views. I think it is a natural justice to allow the players submit their version.”

‘Asked whether in the wake of West Indies Board pardoning their rebel cricketers who played in South Africa the Board would also show some clemency to the Indian cricketers, Mr. Duta said: “It is the committee which would decide everything,.” To another question whether the Board President would have any dialogue with his Pakistan counterpart since Pakistani cricketers were also involved in the matches in the U.S, and Canada, Duttta said it was their internal matter and the Board had nothing to do with it.
