CHANDIGARH: An area commander of Babbar Khalsa International Mahar Singh was gunned down in a fake encounter’ along with his associate at village Khara in Tam Taran police district on Jan.31 Tam Taran police chief claimed that one AK 47 rifle and .38 bore revolver were found from the slain militants who were involved in 20 killings the police chief said that encounter took place when a police parry who were patrolling the area as a part of Special drive. However the reliable sources revealed that both the militants were held under illegal detention by the Punjab police from last 15 days.
