Sir;

A number of members of the Sikh communities in California, Arizona and elsewhere have been receiving very bizarre letters of late. The letters claim to be a notice that the recipient has been excommunicated from the Sikh religion. Other letters claim to be a notice to appear before a hearing about the alleged excommunication.

The letters come from a man who claims that he has a title of Gurumukh Singh Sahib. He signs his name as Jap Hari Singh Kar Khalsa.

The person who is sending out these letters is apparently mentally disturbed. Anybody who receives any of these letters should not believe them at all.

Persons who find the contents objectionable may wish to contact the Postal Authorities and their local police. The police in Tucson, Arizona, in Los Angeles, California as well as the F.B.I. and the Secret Service are already investigating.

Through Guru Nanak/Guru Gobind Singh may His Name forever increase and his spirit be exalted, and may all people prosper by His grace.
