ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s caretaker government has sacked an American lobbyist engaged by ousted premier Benazir Bhutto, Pakistani news agency reported here.

The services of Mark Seigal, a close friend of Bhutto have been terminated on orders from Islamabad the associated press of Pakistan said in a dispatch from Washington.

Seigal was employed by Bhutto soon after assuming office in December 1988 at a monthly fee of 30,000 US dollars plus expenses.
