CHANDIGARH: Former Chief Minister of Haryana Bhajan Lal on July 22nd alleged that Chief Minister Bansi Lal had directed the Haryana Police to register false cases against his relatives and other Congressmen out of political vendetta. In this regard a delegation of senior Haryana Congress leaders called on the Governor, Mr. Mahabir Prasad, on Monday and apprised him of the latest political situation in the State. The Congress delegation submitted a memorandum listing the various acts of political vendetta being pursued by the Chief Minister, against several Congressmen. The delegation headed by State Congress president Dharmpal Singh Malik included former Chief Minister and leader of the Haryana Congress legislature party Bhajan Lal, former Governor of Tripura Sultan Singh, former Speaker in Haryana Assembly Ishwar Singh and a number of former ministers, MLAs, The delegation brought to the notice of the Governor of the instances of false cases registered against Congressmen and relatives of Mr. Bhajalal out of political Vendetta. The leaders demanded institution of a judicial inquiry into the incidents relating to the dharna at Rohtak on July 15 last, when the Congress flags were tom, tents pitched outside the office of Deputy Commissioner for staging dharna in protest against the unprecedented hike in the power tariff, bus fares, registration fees, license fees, passenger tax etc. The delegation also brought to the notice of the Governor the deteriorating law and order situation of the State, resulting in a spate of murders during the last two months rule of the Bansi Lal Government.
