Fresh contingents of Indian border ‘security force and Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) were brought in on either side of the Burimani border along with arms where BSF reportedly objected to construction of an embankment along Dharala River by Bangladesh’s Water development board.
Meanwhile a fag-meeting between the border guards of the two countries was held in a fresh bid to defuse tension. Mounting tension has forced residents of nearby localities on either side of the border to move to safer shelters in the last six days and brought to a hall trade between the two counties along this border point reports said.
The suspension of border trade through the point particularly the Supply of coal from India has closed down several brick klins on Bangladesh side said mass-circulation newspaper Ittefaq.
