AMRITSAR, India; Punjab Finance Minister, Balwant Singh came here to the city and met Professor Darshan Singh at Guru Ram Das Hospital where the acting Jathedar of Akal Takht was convalescing after a mild heart attack. Balwant Singh was with the Jathedar for about an hour and a half and is reported to have discussed the political crisis arising out of the excommunication the Chief Minister Surjit Singh Barnala by the Five High Priests. Balwant Singh it may be recalled was condemned for his role in Punjab politics by Sarbat KhaIsa at Amritsar on Jan. 26, 1987.
