BATHINDA, India: The Akali Dal (Badal) has said that it stands for National Unity and Integrity as also for ‘maintaining communal harmony. A party conference held at Mansa neat Bhatinda on Sept, 22, made an open declaration opposing all sorts of terrorism.

‘Mr. Parkash Singh Badal strongly refuted the allegation that the group led by him was encouraging “terrorism” and separatism in Punjab. He said that his party will work for the Hindu Sikh unity. Mr. Badal said that his party did not favour Hindu migration from or Sikh migration in to The party will take all the steps to prevent this migration, Mr. Badal added, He described the Barnala government as & team of opportunists in which every minister is acting individually.

The conference in a resolution said that Akali Dal (Badal) would work for the fulfillment of the Anandpur Sahib resolution, reinstatement of army deserters, release of youth detenues and the arrested youth and a state enquiry into the incident of Dera Baba ‘Nanak incident in which ten Sikh ‘youths allegedly coming from Pakistan were killed in an encounter with BS.F, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal and Gurcharan Singh Tohra denied the allegation of Surjit Singh Barnala that they had honoured the killers of Sant Harchand Singh Longowal at Amritsar.
