CHANDIGARH, India: The Badal group of Akali Dal has summoned a meeting of MPs, MLAs and the Working Committee at Chandigarh on July 26, Mr. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa ‘one of the general secretaries of the Party said that meeting will discuss the next plan of action in the wake of report of police excesses and reported entry of security forces in Gurwaras in the State, Mr, Parkash Singh Badal, President of the Party, announced the formation of Working Committee on July 14 here. Some of the leaders of the ‘group is scheduled to visit Gurdaspur district between July 20-25, where they will visit the villages from where there are reports of police excesses. Meanwhile, the Punjab Revenue Minister, Major Singh Uboke has left for Amritsar District to study the situation. A deputation from the areal met him at Chandigarh against the security forces’ excesses.
