SRINAGAR: Army was called out to assist paramilitary forces to flush out militants and their harbours in downtown Srinagar, while curfew was relaxed for 13 hours in rest of the trouble tom north Indian city Dec 4.

Security forces cordoned off Soura locality in downtown Srinagar early Tuesday and conducted house to house search.

Militants attacked patrolling: party of central reserve police force at Naseembagh Zakura in downtown Srinagar Monday night. No one was injured in the encounter, police said.
