BELJING: A 8,000 year old fertility carving is among the relics that have been discovered recently near Three Gorges on the Yangize River (site of the world’s largest hydroelectric Project).

The caving made of black stone, was used in fertility rites during the Zhou dynasty, which lasted from the 11th century B.C. to 221 B.C.

About 13 million people as well as 13 cities, 100 towns and 1,600 factories, must be moved to make wy for the dam. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2009.
