Your Piousness:

May God Almighty bless you with long life and good health so that you may continue the “moral and spiritual uplift of humanity.”

Recently, I read the August 1992 issue of “Sanathana Sarathi” through the courtesies of one of your dedicated devotees in Connecticut. I was curious to read the article “Bright Future for Bharat Baba” and more particularly at a time in India’s history when right from top to bottom, countless voices are being heard to the contrary from various politicians, academicians, film artists, writers, intellectuals, etc…

I do not want to take time more than it is necessary to inform you about the character and integrity of Dr.S.D.Sharma, President of India and P.V.Narasimaha Rao, Prime Minister of India whom you have extolled to the skies in the above referenced article.

As you are aware, Sikhs in India in general and in the Punjab in particular have been carrying ona movement for freedom from India since August, 1982. During this time, the Indian Governments of Indira Gandhi, followed by Rajiv Gandhi and P.V. Narasimaha Rao committed barbaric and inhumane atrocities of monumental propor tions on innocent Sikhs including women and children. Most importantly, Mrs.Gandhi’s government’s unprovoked and unjustified attack of June 4,1984 on Sri Darbar Sahib and demoli tion of Sri Akal Takht Sahib (both in Amritsar in Punjab) and more than 40 other gurdawaras in the State of Punjab compactly alienated the Sikhs not only in India, but abroad as well. As a result of this attack, followed by alienation and anger, Mrs.Gandhi was allegedly assassinated by her Sikh bodyguards in New Delhi. This event was followed by a genocide of Sikhs not only in New Delhi, but also al many other places in India. This continued for almost a week. The person responsible for this holocaust was the then Home Minister and now the Prime Minister P.V, Narasimaha Rao whom you have blessed by saying, “As is the seed, so is the fruit with good men at the helm of the nation, it will experience good results.”

Your Piousness! What kind of good results will be generated? Mr.Rao’s hands are not only drenched in the blood of innocent Sikh men, women and children, but blood is still dripping from them. There is a reason for his resisting and refusing to even hold an impartial judicial inquiry into those rather tragic and unfortunate events. He was the perpetrator of those crimes against Sikhs and presided over the plans to carry out the genocide.

Regarding Dr.S.D.Sharma, the least said the better. Last year, Government of India in its usual show of power extended its patronage and gave awards to quite a few people which included Dr.Khem Singh Gill, Vice Chancellor, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana (Punjab), Rather than personally presenting the award to Dr.K.S.Gill, as has been the practice all these years, the President insisted that the award be mailed to Dr.K.S.Gill  a departure from the normally highly publicized ceremony. The rationale behind the change is alleged involvement of Dr.K.S.Gill’s son in the murders of Dr.S.D.Sharma’s daughter, Gitanjali and son in law Lalit M, Maken who was the coconspirator in the November 1984 genocide of Sikhs in New Delhi and elsewhere in India, Your Piousness! I need not go into the details of the present day social, political and religious conditions of India. Since December 1992, the entire world is all too familiar with the events and happenings, I would urge you to use your personal influence with these two top men and help stem the tide of genocide against India’s minorities and please arrange to let my people in Punjab go so that they can also “enjoy the glow of freedom” which is presently being enjoyed by the members of the majority community only.
