CHANDIGARH, India: All the ministers of the Haryana Cabinet and Chairmen of the boards and corporations tendered their resignations to the Chief Minister Haryana Mr, Devi Lal. This was done at a joint meeting of the Council of Ministers and Chairmen of Corporations and Boards held at Chandigarth, only two ministers including Hukam Singh, Development Minister were out of the State capital. They are also likely to follow other colleagues after their return to Chandigarh to submit their resignations.

The political circles believe that the collective move of resignations is to provide free hand to the Chief Minister to reshuffle his Cabinet, reallocate the portfolios, in order to counter the propaganda now being done by his opponents. These circles also believe that the large scale changes in the administration are also in the offing.
