CHANDIGARH: The All India Sikh Student’s Federation president Manjit Singh warned those holding secret parleys with the center and said the AISSF would oppose such leaders and take action against them.

Addressing a press conference he said that while in Jodhpur jail, he had rejected an Assam type of settlement and soon after the Rajiv Longowal accord was signed. He said he had refused to accept anything less than the goal set by Sant Jamail Singh Khalsa.

He did not mention the leaders holding secret talks with Delhi but obviously he was speaking of Mann and a few others. Manjit Singh advocated the setting up of a coordination committee representing all militant organizations and other bodies fighting for freedom. He extended support to the militants in Kashmir.

Manjit Singh said the AISSF would continue to mobilize Lok Shakti (people’s power) in Punjab.

He stressed the need for providing ideological input to the armed struggle. Referring to state elections, he said under the given circumstances elections would not solve the problem He said AISSF had backed Mann to show that the people were with the militants.

He took strong exception to the statement of LK Advani BJP leader and Vajpayee who by advocating Hindu rashtra would disintegrate the country.
