JALANDHAR: The All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) has reiterated its demand for an independent Sikh State, causing imminent hindrance in the way of unity efforts between Akali Dal (B) and Akali Dal(A) by Prof Man Singh, the acting Jathedar of the Akal Takht.

Talking to media persons, Kamall Singh Peer Mohammad, the president of AISSF said that their organization will offer every support to the Shiromani Akali Dal.

Mohammad said that the AISSF was committed to achieving the pre-determined goal of having an independent Sikh state, however, no undemocratic ways would be adopted for the purpose, The AISSF does not want to spoil the academic atmosphere in educational institution by resorting to arms struggle, ho said.

Lashing out at the rebel Congress leader Jagmeet Singh Brar, the AISSF president accused him of misguiding people, especially the farmers in the state. He suggested that Brar should join the Akali Dalto directly confronted Congress

Appreciating the decision by Damdami Taksal to organize “Khalsa March” from Amritsar to Anandpur Sahib, on the occasion of Holla Mohalla.” the AISSF Ieader appealed to Prof Manjit Singh, the acting jathedar of the Akal Takht and other religious and political organizations to actively propagate Sikhism among the masses.
