To America For The Release Of Arrested Youths
AMRITSAR, Punjab, India: Bhai Gurjit Singh, President All India Sikh Student Federation has appealed to the U.S. Government not to send Ranjit Singh Gill and Sukhminder Singh Sandhu back to India as it would amount to sending them straight in the jaws of death.
He said that the two are being falsely implicated in murder cases even though they were not even present in India when the murders were committed, “How can anybody expect justice in a country where Judiciary dances to the time of the Executive”, he asked. “What chance is there for helpless innocents in the face of prevailing State terrorism”, he added.
“Since there is no judicial remedy open for Sikhs in India, the US. Government must save these young men from falling into the hands of butchers by giving them political asylum”, said Gurjit Singh.
Meanwhile, it has been reliably learnt that the Federation activist, Mr. Mathura Singh has been killed in what police described as an “encounter.
