JAIPUR: Pro-Hindu BJP leader Atal Behari Vajpayee said Advani would be the prime minister if his party was voted to power in the May mid-term poll.
Addressing a news conference here Tuesday Vajpayee who has been on a visit to Rajasthan said it was indeed unfortunate that the Congress-I rejected a joint election forum for the poll in Punjab.
However he felt that the atmosphere in Punjab was still not conducive for elections but every political party should rise above the partisan altitude for a democratic set up in the state.
