JALANDHAR: The All India Sikh Students Federation affiliated to the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) has demanded action against former Punjab DGP KP.S. Gill and other officers responsible for cremating 984 bodies of Sikhs during the last few years as has been reported by the CBI before the Supreme Court.
Speaking to newspersons here, senior vice president of the AISSF, Harshankar S. Rana, said that the AISSF would organize a protest march on August 3 at Jalandhar against the ‘mass cremations.’ He said that Jaswant Singh Khalra, the Akali Dal human rights activist, was ‘removed’ by the Punjab Police when he raised a voice about the cremation of 25,000 bodies.
