In Amritsar, unknown assailants shot dead a woman last night and police also discovered the body of a teenage girl.

Police said a curfew had been clamped on the town of Tarn Taran near Amritsar and they were conducting a house to house hunt for the freedom fighters.

About SO people have been arrested in Tarn Taran, where three people were killed on Friday.
