When asked to relate some significant memories of his childhood days, Singh Sahib did not wait even for a second talk about his mother Bibi Naseeb Kaur “My mother introduced me to Gurbani at a very young age. “I was still in primary school when she started encouraging us to memorize Gurbani,” he said as he pointed to his brother, S. Onkar Singh who is working on his PhD thesis under Prof. Baikar Singh’s Guidance, Singh Sahib related the story of his mother cooking her sons’ favorite dishes each time they would learn, by heart, a specific Bani from Gurn Granth Sahib.
My second question was about his marriage and family life, He bore a tender, wistful look in kis eyes when he talked of his wife, Bibi Kuljit Kaur, who is the younger sister of Singh Sahib is elder brother’ s wife. “She knew it was not going to be a bed of roses, she has accepted my lifestyle at Spend most of my time on the road and she lives in Patiala where our children are going to school.” said Singh Sahib with an outward calm, and the depth of pain of love which Crucifies before it crowns the be- loved, I saw a distant look in his eyes, and decided to let him dream the glorious dream, not only for his four children, but for Sikh generations, and perhaps generations of the human race on this planet Earth.
