MADURAI (PTI): In a dastardly act a man locked up his wife and three children in their thatched hut and set it ablaze. The woman and her two daughters were charred to death while the third child a boy has been hospitalized with extensive bums.
Police said the man a farmer belonging to Vilandurai village in Tamil Nadus Ramanatha puram district doubted his wife’s fidelity and had been quarrelling with: her frequently.
He had reportedly set fire to the hut in a Till of rage after one such incident. The children had rushed out of the house in fear as their parents were quarrelling but he had allegedly pushed them back inside and locked them up.
