CHANDIGARH: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has evinced keen interest in the research undertaken by a homeopath here that has treated five HIV affected patients and made one of them “symptoms free.”
An ICMR experts’ committee after a meeting early this year asked Dr. P.S. Rawat, a researcher in a private homeopathic institute here, to provide details of drugs he used or intended to use in the treatment.
Dr. Rawal said he began treating an AIDS infected electrician deported from Dubai in November 1992, and: the patients symptoms disappeared by May 1993.
He said housed several homeopathic drugs, including gold based drugs which are normally used to treat STD. diseases, in his treatment.
He claimed the homeopathic drugs used by him which removed the discuses symptoms did not affect the body’s immunity and had no side effects.
Dr, Rawat says if HIV patient is cured of symptoms by homeopathy drugs, he should not take allopathic drugs for any other disease, Otherwise he would suffer from depleting immunity.
