WASHINGTON: Prime Minister Narsimha Rao will address the U.S Congress on May 19 and in conjunction with his speech a protest rally will be held across the street from the White House in Lafayette Park (Protests have already been held in Houston Texas and at Harvard University in Boston.) Sikh Leaders across the U.S. have urged that Mr Rao and U S policy makers be reminded that the Sikh Nation has not forgotten that Mr Rao has Blood on his Hands.

As Home Minister Rao coordinated the regimes response to the government inspired massacre of November 1984 which killed at least 20,000 Sikhis in Delhi alone and another 20,000 throughout India. Since 1984 over 11500 Sikhs have been killed at the hands of Indian police paramilitary forces and death squads. Another 70,000 languish in Indian prisons. Asia Watch reports that virtually everyone detained in Punjab is tortured. Amnesty International has not been allowed to investigate human rights violation in India since 1984.
