AMRITSAR: The top brass of the newly-formed Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) has decided to launch a collective campaign to for the Beant Singh government to quit.
Talking to media persons in the office of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) after performing the Sewa in the Golden Temple Complex here last week they said as all the claims of the Congress Chief Minister had proved to be false one so he should seek fresh mandate from the public.
Terming the Beant Singh government as the most corrupt the Akali leaders said the present government was not the true representative of the people neither it was elected by the people and nor it Was for the people as during its two-year rule it had encouraged favoritism corruption and had failed to control prices
The recent defeat of Congress who had used all its official machinery in the Ajnala by-election was an eye-opener they said adding that it was evident from the do feat that the people were against the Congress.
