JALANDHAR: Kuldeep Singh Wadala a member of the Presidium of the Akal Dal (Badal) alleged recently that a senior leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) was colluding with Chief Minister Beant Singh.

Talking to newsmen here Wadala who unsuccessfully contested the Nakodar by-election said the leader met the Chief Minister in the PAP complex in Jalandhar before the polling on May 2 to plan a strategy to defeat him (Wadala) He accused the Congress of planning a strategy to interfere in the affairs of the Akalis. The rival faction was trying to sabotage the stand taken by the Akali Dal (Badal). He urged the Sikhs to beware of the Akali Dal (Amritsar) whose leaders did not want to solve the Punjab problem During the hour of crisis the only aim of leaders of the Akali Dal (Amritsar) was to work against the Sikh cause by raising the slogans of boycott of elections or of Parkash Singh Badal.
