The Sikh nation all over the world is observing the 10th anniversary of Operation Blue Star in which the Indian army invaded desecrated and vandalized the Holiest of Sikh shrines the Golden Temple at Amritsar killing thousands of pilgrims in the process and triggering the Sikh struggle for the liberation of their homeland from Indian suzerainty.
In Britain a 2-day conference is being held an June4-S at Gurdwara Guru Arjan Dev Stanhope St. Derby of party affiliations have been invited.
In a message for the occasion Prime Minister Gurmet Singh Gill of Khalistan government-in-exile has to the open session of the conference on June 5 to pay homage to the freedom-fighters martyred in the it solidarity with and commitment to the liberation of the Sikh homeland and establishment of the sovereign state
He said By their ‘attitude and conduct the Indian rulers have proved that the promises made by them during the up forte peat were nothing more than ploys to draws .us into the trip of Indian union. We have learned the bitter lesson never to rely on their promised and that the only way of survival with dignity is complete independence from the Indian union.
I therefore appeal to you all to use this 10th anniversary of Operation Blue Star as an occasion for paying homage to fighters who have laid down their lives to secure an honorable future for us and to dedicate yourselves to the struggle for a sovereign stale of Khalistan he added:
Come and send a clear signal to the Indian rulers is well as the entire world that the Sikh nation is united in its demand for independence he concluded
