NEW DELHL : A Supreme Court avocet has contended before the Jain Commission of enquiry that the single track Opposition on the involvement of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was at least speculative, if Not fake,” reopens says.
In his affidavit before the commission, which is probing the conspiratorial aspects of the assassination? B.L. Wadehra has bid the perceptions and Confusions that there is only one theory about the assassination used by a human bomb, was hard to believe.

According to Wadehra the day after the assassination, investigations and forensic experts recovered pieces of wire tied together with cloth straps and rechargeable battery during the first search at the murder site.
It is also stated that the pieces of the same cloth were found on the body of the unidentified woman killed in the explosion. No crater was seen at the scene of the incident.
The forensic expense, therefore, came to a highly tentative conclusion that the said unidentified woman carried the improvised device on her person and that gelatine sticks on some other explosive were strapped to her body which detonated when Rajiv Gandhi approached her,” says the affidavit
Wadehra has stated that all the and the investigators initial tentative conclusion could have been easily verified and proved from the video pictures of the function at sriperumboder where Gandhj was assassinated on May 21,1991
He contended that the doubt expressed that the unidentified woman either made her way into the sterilized area when Gandhi approached or whether she had previously managed to infiltrate and stand in the queue of Bang landers could have been easily verified from the video pictures.
The petitioner has pointed out that the first mention of the video pictures of Gandhi’s last meeting was made by the then Intelligence Bureau director M K. Narayanan in an official communication to the then Prime Minister on May 22. In this brief note, Narayanan had stated that the video pictures of this pant of glue meeting and presently being scanned to try and identify the lady.”
