JAMMU: Sixteen organizations held an emergency meeting here last week and resolved that the Amamath Yatra would be held at all costs. They formed a 21-member samiti to put pressure on the government for making adequate arrangements.
The meeting convened by the mahant of the Dashnami Akhara, Was attended by the mahants of major temples here, the Dharamarth Trust, the Sanatan Dharma Sabha, the Brahmin Sabha, the RSS the VHP, the Bajrang Dal, the Chamber of Commerce and others.
The meeting observed that if the Yatra was not successful, it would have far-reaching “national and international”’ consequences.
