SACRAMENTO, CA: The 11th Anniversary of the Gurdwara as also the 10th Anniversary of the World Sikh Organization as celebrated here by the large gathering of Sikhs. The event was specially organized to lay the foundation stone of the Gurdwara, Dewan Hall which is an important land mark for the Sacramento Sikhs.

Sacramento Gurdwara located Evergreen Ave, in the Capital City of Califomia is lucky to have a progressive and dedicated Management which has always been at the fore-front of community’s activities.

 In view of the growing size of the congregation, the management has ventured on the construction of a new sanctuary ‘Dewan Hall” adjacent to the existing building for the benefit of the ‘Sadh Sangat.’

A number of speakers presented their views and assisted with the kirtan, Among those who spoke were Sardar Backshish Singh, as stage manager and President of the Gurdwara Management Committee; Poet of the Congregation, Sadar Swaran Singh, Bhai Kartar Singh, the first Granthi of the Sacramento Congregation; Bhai Giani Wadala Singh the current head Granthi gave the Hukamnama, and Bhai Amarjit Singh, Sardar Hazara Singh Cheema also participated with the Kirtan.

 Ragi Jathas enthralled the congregation with recitations of holy shabads, Sardar Jagat Singh Jagga moved the Sangat with is performance of religious songs. Bhai Manjit Singh’s exposition on Guru Gobind Singh jee was so touching, the whole congregation felt intensely moved.

Sardar Didar Singh Bains, President of the World Sikh Organization International, spoke on the current situation of the Sikh Liberation Struggle for Khalistan and Sikh Unity.
