NEW DELHI (PTI): Top Indian and United States air force officials on March 14 held lengthy talks on increasing bilateral cooperation between the two air forces.

 The American delegation headed by Lt Gen John S Fairfield and the Indian air force delegation led by the vice chief of the air staff air marshal P J Jay Kumar met here for two hours as the joint steering committee of the two air forces began its second session.

Earlier Lt Gen Fairfield vice commander of the U.S. Pacific air command heading an eight member U.S. air force delegation met chief of the air staff air chief marshal S.K Kaul. The joint co-chairman air marshal P S Jay Kumar in his opening re marks said the second meeting would make further headway towards increasing bilateral Cooperation between the air forces of the two Countries’ This meeting might throw up new ideas and new perspectives which might influence the way we look at relations between the two air forces in the future air marshal Jay Kumar said
