CHANDIGARH: An enterprising property dealer who made good by selling the same property more than once and was bailed out by 3 lawyer friend has finally ran into trouble. The property dealer Anil Rishi sold a one kanal house belonging to Gurbax Singh now settled in Gwalior first to L. D. Gupta and then to Nave; Singh Dhillon. He pocketed a neat sum Of Rs 12 lakh from both as earnest money. The local police have charged Rishi with fraud.
Dismissing his bail plea the fudge in his order said the accused Anil Rishi and his co-accused Kuldip Singh are involved in several Cases of cheating running into lakh of rupees. In fact Gurbax had never sold his house to Rishi.
Police investigations have revealed that the sale deed of the house purportedly bought from Gurbax Singh in 1991 had been forged with the help of Kuldip who had signed the documents in the capacity of the owner as per the practice prevalent in Delhi a photograph is affixed on the sale documents for record. It is learned that the photograph provided for the purpose was that of Kuldip Singh and not of the original owner Gurbax Singh.
