CHANDIGARH: College teachers affiliated to the Punjab and Chandigarh College Teachers Union PCCTU went on strike and held dharhas and rallies outside the offices ‘of the respective principals against the failure of the Punjab Government to issue notification on pension cum gratuity and two installments of interim relief last Thursday morning.
The strike call was given by the Punjab and Chandigarh college teachers, tic apex body of college teachers: working in 150 nongovernment’s aided and unaided colleges of Punjab and seven colleges of Punjab and Chandigarh affiliated to the threes universities of Punjab and Chandigarh, This was stated by Prof Charanjit Chawla, general secretary of the PCCTU.
