SRINAGAR: The special operations group of Jammu and Kashmir Police gunned down self-styled supremo of J and K Islamic Front Sajjad Ahmad Keno, who masterminded the recent bomb explosions at Sadar Bazar and Connaught Place in New Deli, in an encounter here on last Monday.
Elsewhere in the Valley, security forces foiled attempt of militants to assassinate State Congress chief, Mr; Gholam Rasool Kar, while seven people, including four militants, were killed in unabated violence. Security forces also captured 24 militants including a self-styled section commander of a militant outfit while 3 Pakistan trained militant laid down his arms in the Valley during the period. The special operations group of local police, popularly known as task force, killed the self-proclaimed supremo of banned J and K Islamic Front and former vice chairman of Tkhwanul Muslimeen, Sajjad Abmact Kenu, in an encounter in Dilsoz Colony, Natipora, on the outskirts of Srinagar.
