Dear Sir,
WSO office in Ottawa has been sending Press releases and notes on Sikh matters from time to time sin
Nov 11, 1993 four press releases on Turban issue in Royal Canadian and were mailed to WSN and other print media. It’s regrettable that none of these releases got any coverage what so ever in the pages often World Sikh News. Ironically enough India Abroad picked up a few lines of a Press release for Dec. UN human rights day and published it.
The working of the ISYF (all groups) is not hidden from well-meaning Sikhs in North America. The do some good but more harm to the Sikh cause the story 1s long and need not be repeated here
The International Sikh Organizations Dilawar Singh Gill has very serious flaws in his assessment the Sikh struggle. He is good (to some extent) on Sikh Human Rights but this philosophy and approach is flawed I do not want to criticize but there is lack of sincerity. It’s very sad that our own people do nm have the information to understand our struggle for freedom and the real Sikh cause. WSO has dealt wit and has information on all Sikh and non-Sikh groups and organizations and we try to do our best to monitor all the media (print audio video Air etc.) and to follow up on matters of interests to the Sikh Nation
They (the WSO) undertakes projects in order to enhance the Sikh cause in the face of utmost opposition = not from the enemies of the Sikh Nation but from those whom we call our own. No one tries to sit listers and discuss anything won while Even if we try (as we have tried on numerous occasions in the decade) the first thing these groups do is put up stupid conditions before they talk. The WSO knows our limitations and handicaps but is printing ahead with the Sikh cause in the most sincere and professional manner irrespective of what those so-called Sikhs do to oppose our efforts.
You name it sides of groups of ISYF Babar Khalsa groups and mini-groups Branches of WSO in various places Int Human Rights groups of Sikhs Gurdwaras and Sikh societies Sikh Councils and Foundations etc. Not only in Punjab but all over the world these groups are doing some good but a number of them are doing more harm to the Sikh cause If we cannot make one and only one strong Sikh voice Internationally and at local levels we will be carrying more darkness rather than doing any useful work.
I pray to Waheguru that whatever very limited number of Sikhs (resources personnel and financial) who wish to enhance the Sikh cause may understand our organizations and sincerely support the ones that are really trying to strengthen the Sikh voice all over the world. Our challenges are great. At present World Sikh Organization is the only voice of Sikhs that has demonstrated well that it can provide the leading role better than other groups which are not even groups but groupies with vested interests We as Sikhs must first stop cutting our own supports and adopt a policy of All for one and One for all.
Waheguru almighty will help us all as he always did. Raj Karega Khalsa Panth ki Jeet. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh.
