CHANDIGARH: The state government’s policy of repression and suppression of Punjabis in general and Sikhs in particular had Surpassed all previous records Parkash Singh Badal former Punjab Chief Minister said while releasing copies of the “Spokesman” weekly (English & Punjabi) here Jan.9.
He alleged that the Akalis were not being allowed to hold peaceful dhams rallies and conferences in the state which was a clear-cut violation to their democratic rights.
Badal said his party had always remained in the forefront of the peaceful struggle for securing justice for the people. Human rights were being violated under the present regime in Punjab and the economic situation had deteriorated he added.
