NEW DELHI(PTI);The Belgium governments action of releasing Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Leader Amanullah Khan wanted by India in connection with several murders figured in the Indian upper house Rajya Sabha on Dec 30 with opposition deputies demanding a official Statement on the subject.
Raising the matter Right-Wing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) deputy J.P.Mathur wanted to know the circumstances under which Khan was released and deported to Pakistan
J.K.Gujral former external affairs minister and a centrist Janata Dal deputy said there was enough documentation available even in British course holding the JKLF leader responsible for the murder of an Indian diplomat in London this was the second time when A person wanted by the Indian government was being released by a foreign government he said.
Former presidential candidate GG Swell wanted to know the government stands on the incident.
He proposed that Kashmir be put under UN trusteeship for five years following which Kashmiris should be asked to freely express their will on joining India or Pakistan or having an Independent Kashmir
Speaking at a news conference last week Khan rejected the talks between the foreign secretaries of India and Pakistan scheduled for Jan2 & 3.
Instead he urged trilateral talks saying that Kashmiris were not cattle to be bought or sold by Pakistan and India Kyodo said.
