CHANDIGARH: The Supreme Court has ordered enquiry into the allegations of corruption and land-grab by some Punjab ministers.

Mr. Justice Kuldeep Singh of the Supreme Court, has directed the Ludhiana deputy commissioner, S. S. Channy, to hold the enquiry especially with reference to the Nasrali land dispute cases allegedly involving the Excise and Taxation Minister, Mr. Shamsher Singh Dullo.

Channy has directed Brar to appear before him on September21. He reminded that the deputy commissioner had been to Nasrali village himself to enquire into the charges against Mr, Dullo and the villagers en block had supported the allegations. He said the two letters mentioned in the news reports were written by Mr, Channy himself as the deputy commissioner and it was for him to explain to the Supreme Court.
