CHANDIGARH: The kidnapping and molestation of a French national, MS Katia, involving the grandson of V-VIP, rocked the Punjab Assembly on Scpt.6 with the entire Opposition demanding the resignation of the Beant Singh Government and an inquiry by the ‘Central Bureau of Investigation.
“The House was thrown into Pandemonium during the zero hour about 40 minutes with the ensure: Opposition walking into the well of the House and shouting slogans: The Opposition members did not allow the Chief Minister, Mr. Beant Singh, to make a statement without first listening to them.
He was repeatedly interrupted by members from (his treasury benches. Some of the ministers were seen egging on the ruling party members to thump the desks while the Chief Minister sat calm and occasionally smiled at certain, remarks made in the House. Irked al the behavior of the ruling party members, the entire Opposition was on their feet.
The Speaker, at one stage, was heard asking the Chief Minister to control his party men.
