NEW DELHI: Bowing to pressure from the travel trade, government Thursday announced its decision to reduce visa fee for tourists coming to the country.
An external affairs ministry ‘spokesman told reporters here that detail of this Policy decision would be announced shortly in consultation with the tourism ministry.
The decision was taken at the inter-departmental meeting held under the chairmanship of foreign secretary J N Dixit to look into the question of scale of fees being charged for visas.
