NEW ORLEANS: Every Thanksgiving needy people in New Orieans lea something about the generosity of the local Sikh community.
This year was no exception, as members of the Sikh community gave away food while celebrating the birthday Guru Nanak (1469-1539), the found of Sikh religion. According to Gur Nanak, as the Sikhs say, it is of no use to worship God if we do not help an feed out needy people.
This effort, like those of many years in the past, was spear. Headed by Dr Balminder Singh Mangat in the pas Dr.Mangat had been very helpful to the S.t Philip Social Service Center Providing free medical aid to our need People: S.t Philip Social Service Centre thanks the Sikh Community of new Orleans for their loving generosity.
They adopted 50 families from the desire community, and we are grateful.
