NEW DELHI: The visiting Dutch Prime Minister, R.Lubbers, urged India, on Oct.27, to give human rights organizations, including the International Red Cross, access to Kashmir so that they can assess for themselves the situation in the Valley,
Lubbers made this request to External Affairs Minister Dinesh Singh who called on him in the course of the day, the Foreign office spokesman told correspondents.
Briefing the Dutch leader on Kashmir, Singh pointed out that India had already announced its willingness to permit human rights organizations to visit the Valley.
