SAN FRANCISCO, CA: Dec.10 Was observed as Human Rights Day. Sikhs organized rallies. Demonstrations all over the world to Protest against the violation of Human Rights in India.
Sikhs in Bay Area, California organized a pacify| demonstration against the atrocities of Indian Govt. in Punjab. They carried pictures of torture victims and Sign boards depicting human Rights violations in India.
‘The rally was addressed by Mr Jerry Mack, Representative of Amnesty International, who condemned the atrocities of Indian Govt against political prisoners and minorities. Bhat Ram Singh explained the violations of human rights in India and asked the U.S. Govt. to stop the financial aid to India.
Bhai Ranjit Singh in his radio interview mentioned that the only Solution to stop the human rights violation in India is Khalistan. He also demanded that US should stop any aid to India because that aid is used to kill or torture our brothers, sisters and parents. Sikh Youth of America also sent & a letter to President Clinton on similar demands.
Khalistan Affairs Center prepared a memorandum for UN Secretary General and other material for distribution to the public, with efforts of “Sadh Sangat” of San Jose, Fremont and Sikh Youth of America.
