NEW YORK: Over three thousand Sikhs from USA, Canada and En Sand particular from New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pansy! varia, Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, California, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver converged Outside the United Nations Head: (quarters on November 12,1981 10 protest against the most brutal and unheard of kings of innocent Sikh ‘men, women and children, in Punjab and other places in India . They were demanding an end to the annihilation of Sikhs and violations of their Human Rights .A delegation of Sikh slater handed over a memorandum to the UN Secretary General.
The peaceful assembly was addressed by among others by Sardar Satiwan Singh Khalsa, a New York attorney, Professor Gurcharan Singh, Human Rights activist of New York City, Inderjit Singh Bal Senior Vice President W.S.0. Sardar Satjiwan Singh Khalsa of New York said that freedom in India is a commodity which is being denied to Sikhs, Dr.Gucharan Singh as always lashed at the Indian Government for denying Human Fights of ‘Sikhs in Punjab and India.
He said “We are not against Hindus but against Hindu Imperialism. We are not against India but against Indian Barbarism” He also said we are fast approaching a new century ‘and it will be a Century of Freedom for all. All the speakers vehemently condemned the brutal killings of a
