CHANDIGARH: The Panthic Committee (Dr Sohan Singh) and its associate four militant organizations have made their position clear on the anti -repression action committee and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.
Ina five page statements received here on Wednesday, they said they had expected that the action committee would categorically reject the Indian Constitution and adopt the goal of Khalistan as passed by the Sarbat Khalsa. Letters were written to some Akal leaders who participated in the two meetings in this regard. However, the action committee failed to do so. Any ant repression movement not aimed at the achievement of Khalistan would amount to acceptance of the Indian Constitution.
The statement said that in a clever move, the committee resolved to boycott elections but did not reject the Constitution. The resolutions passed at the two meetings were only bundles of confusion. The participants were requested to be serious on the demand for Khalistan, While the committee took two steps forward, some forces within it made it take four steps backward. The statement said these organizations were fully aware of the political dilemma and clever moves of these leaders who could not be entrusted with the achievement of this goal.
(On the issue of the SGPC the statement said that the SGPC was constituted under the act of the govt and any such organization could not function independently. It was for this reason that it was dissolved by the Sarbat Khalsa and not for any other account; however, they would welcome any argument to the contrary based upon the ultimate reality.
Explaining the steps to carry the struggle to its logical end, the statement said as a first step, all the militant organizations fighting for Khalistan should resolve to unite, and to begin with constitute a coordination committee.
These organizations have clarified their position regarding launching of amassment. What was important was the Ultimate goal of the mass movement. Any mass movement launched by the peasantry would be confined to high prices for farm produce and any movement by employees could end up with getting them higher pay scales. Any political mass movement would only result in getting elected as an MLA or an MP. They cautioned the people against the Marxist interpretation of the mass movement “They said various sections of the Sikh society could launch a peaceful mass movement and extend support to the armed struggle but the goal should be nothing but Khalistan.
Apart from the Panthic Committee, the statement was issued on behalf of the Khalistan Commando Force (Panjwar), Khalistan Liberation Force (Budhsinghwala), Sikh Students Federation (Daljit) and Bhindranwale Tiger Force of Khalistan (Chandra).
