STOCKHOLM: The Nobel Prize in medicine was awarded on Monday to Erwin Neher and Bert Sakmann of Germany.
“They were honored for their discoveries concerning the function of single ion channels in cells,” said the Nobel Assembly of the Karolinska Institute.
