NEW DELHI: Contrary to Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal’s claim the Center has not earmarked any money for the controversial S.Y.L. canal this year. Confirming the position water resources minister V.C.Shukla said in the Lok Sabha in reply to a question by Ranjit Singh and J.K Jain that no money was provided because revised estimates from Punjab had not been received. The minister said Punjab itself could car mark the money out of its own resources. Punjab government had also been asked the engage appropriate machinery to complete the balance work the minister added.
