SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh cabinet Friday decided to invoke the National Security Act (NSA) to enforce the provisions of the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) to deal with the strike of the HPSEB employees which entered the 3rd Friday report agencies.
The cabinet which reviewed the situation at its meeting here described the strike is “illegal immoral and unjustified. Chief minister Shanta Kumar said the district administrations had been asked to use NSA wherever the situation warranted.
