BANGALORE : Sivarasan and Subha the LTTE activists who allegedly masterminded the Gandhi assassination Tuesday committed suicide along with five of their colleagues as a crack security team stormed their hideout near Bangalore after a two day siege.
While Sivarasan reportedly shot himself the others ended their lives by swallowing cyanide in their Konankunte village hideout in the outskirts of Bangalore.
The special investigation team probing the Rajiv Gandhi took just under 90 days to zero in on the one-eyed Sivarasan and his woman accomplice bringing to an end the massive countrywide manhunt for them on the birthday of the late prime minister.
