NEW DELHI: There is no proposal under consideration of the govt to denationalize any public sector bank minister of state for finance Dalbir Singh told the Lok Sabha Friday.
In reply to another question Dalbir Singh said the finance minister in his budget speech had inter-alia indicated a proposal for appointment of a high level committee to consider all relevant aspects of structure organization functions and procedures of the financial system.
He said the committee was expected to advise the govt on appropriate measures that would be needed to enhance the availability and health of the banking sector so that it could serve the needs of the economy.
