BHIWANEI: The president of the Baptist Union of India Rev. W.David in a communication to the Governor of Haryana, the Chief Minister of Haryana and the Deputy Commissioner of Bhiwani, has lodged a complaint seeking protection from a group of gangsters who were trying to terrorize the minority Christian institutions located at Bhiwani.

The Hindus are threatening to kill the Principal at the Baptist Senior Secondary School here and grab the property of the mission.

The mission runs a school situated on Circular Road. It is a co-educational institution with a hostel for about 100 girls. It also has a kothi situated on the Rambagh Road, a church building and grave yard.

Rev. Walter David has alleged that the desperadoes are bent upon depriving the mission of these institutions and property worth cores of rupees. He has requested the authorities to protect the life and property of the minority community.

Meanwhile students of the Baptist Senior Secondary School Bhiwani took out a Procession through the main streets of the town on Monday against the assault.

The principal Mr Ram Singh a contractor of the school, Mr Inder Mohan Singh and others in the office of the principal later presented a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner Bhiwani, Hardeep Kumar who assured full government protection to them. The gangsters attacked his office on July 13. The assailants were armed with swords and pistols. They wanted him to do certain rain things which he refused to do.
